So in the studio we have been having the usual workshops and a few commissions.  Here are some photos from those.  We are also pre-exposing screens and selling inks and squeegees and of course giving advice on all of your print jobs.

Variety is the spice of life

So recently the studio has been taking on a variety of commissions and still running frequent workshops.  We have also had the local artists in as usual and expanding in terms of the product range as a Permaset and Daler Rowney supplier.  Here are a few photos from the last week......and the exhibition in Bristol faturing Jack-Knife! This week we have a t-shirts and tags to print and two workshops to get involved with, we are also still free to give any advice about screens or projects you may be planning.

Emily Parker in the studio

This is a screen we did for her single colour wrapping papers. They came out great and are currently on sale on her website. Her range is all about simplicity the highest quality possible. James and the Bear

A great way to spend the afternoon on a rainy day.  James is an A Level student and today he developed one of his illustrations from travelling all round the country drawing endangered animals.  The bear was picked out and splashes of colour were added after a few mini tests.  In the end he decided bolder and brighter the better! We used half-tones to soften the edges of the coloured layers then the illustration sat on top.  Here are the reslts from his first go at screen printing.

St. Gabriels Girls in the studio!

So this morning I had the pleasure of meeting some of the students from St. Gabriel’s 6th form. We had the screens all pre exposed so they were ready to print. The girls took it in turn to pull their prints and started helping, experimenting and mixing the colours together in no time. We had fun printing onto different materials and they bought in some more textures and fabrics to test too. Miss Dillon had a go too with a Marilyn Monroe print and everyone mucked in trying out a few techniques. We then coated a screen together and exposed...
