So recently the studio has been taking on a variety of commissions and still running frequent workshops. We have also had the local artists in as usual and expanding in terms of the product range as a Permaset and Daler Rowney supplier. Here are a few photos from the last week......and the exhibition in Bristol faturing Jack-Knife! This week we have a t-shirts and tags to print and two workshops to get involved with, we are also still free to give any advice about screens or projects you may be planning.

Just in case you were looking for inspiration when it came to colours now people can use the table (once the glass goes on) to smear on ink and match the right colours. Plus it makes a colourful addition to the studio.
Wash Out!

So this is the wash out booth, its illuminated with a back light so you can see the images appear when you wash out the emulsion. I use a small power washer and a hose to wash the ink and emulsion off and to de-grease the screens. Washing the screens can get noisy so ear guards are handy.
Screen Printing Workshops and Courses in Berkshire

We have a different take on workshops, we think they should be a time to experiment play and create a range of unusual effects, not just one type of image on one kind of paper. By using a range of experiments the workshops can show you what works best in terms of paper, inks and layout. More advanced workshops can explain the more advanced processes involved in CMYK printing and using photoshop and illustrator to have more control over your designs.
